Darwin's Barra Base

Darwin's Barra Base operates fishing safaris in the rivers and coastal waters of the Northern Territory.

The Lodge is often used as accommodation for groups and families which fly in especially to experience the fabulous fishing available here. Fishing destinations such as Shady Camp, Corroboree Billabong, Dundee beach and the Vernon Islands have a wide reputation for their sport fishing.

First Barramundi! Danny Kelf landed this 129cm Barra at Shady Camp, not bad for a first. Danny (left)is holding the giant fish with Allan Beale to ensure it could be carefully measured and released without injury.

A fleet of vehicles and purpose built boats provides transport for those going fishing as well as some transport for other Lodge Guests.
